Being a Japanese American woman and artist, I draw upon my culture to assist me in making art. Sometimes paint is just not enough, I periodically enjoy combining a variety of media to my process in order to create. I never know how a piece is going to evolve, but the one thing that stays constant is my concept. Begin with the concept and everything else falls into place. |
