Paintings, ​Oceanscapes  2000-2007
Over the years, this body of work and my personal connection to water and nature has inspired me to make healing art. Through my mind’s eye and the photographic lense, my series is a meditation and dreamscape into the natural world and my love of flora and fauna. Numerous trips were made to Weston Beach in Carmel to study and shoot the ocean and tidepools. My arrival was most important in order to capture the precise timing of water intermingling with sand and rocks during the periods of low tide. A habitat for nurturing, like a pregnant woman in waiting or perhaps a woman giving birth.
